A healthy way to relieve pain

Pain affects more Americans than diabetes, heart disease and cancer combined. Over 100 million people in the U.S. have suffered from pain that lasts longer than 24 hours and millions more suffer from acute pain (source).

The thing about pain is that when it strikes, you’ll do anything to make it stop in order to go about your day including medication.

Natural Pain Relief

Most doctors treat pain as a one-size-fits-all approach by prescribing medications that can have dangerous side effects.

This is why I recently recommended these 16 Natural Ways to Relieve Pain.

Infrared Sauna for Pain

My secret weapon for pain (and detox, and heart health, and weight loss), is an infrared sauna.

The difference between an infrared sauna and a regular sauna is that an infrared sauna heats the body from the inside out.  The benefit is that there is very little humidity and high temperature is reached quickly.

The infrared light waves create heat in the body, the heat then penetrates your joints, muscles and tissues, which increases circulation and the flow of oxygen. In fact, researchers from Kagoshima University Hospital in Japan, studied the effects of infrared sauna sessions in 13 female fibromyalgia patients. The result was after ten treatments, pain was decreased by 20 to 78 percent.

Another study showed that

patients suffering from peripheral arterial disease (PAD), found an almost 70% reduction in pain after six weeks.

Infrared wavelengths penetrate the body to create heat, which creates profound therapeutic benefits. They increase blood flow to the muscles, delivering more concentrated oxygen, which creates more energy to heal. – Dr. Jeffrey Spencer – University of Southern California (source).

Sunlighten Saunas

An infrared sauna produces heat at lower temperatures than a conventional sauna which is why they’re tolerated better by people who can’t withstand the very high heats of other dry saunas and steam rooms.    They also have the extra benefit of being able to use them in your home.

I really like that the company, Sunlighten Saunas makes low electromagnetic fields (EMFs) a priority. Sunlighten meets strict safety standards and their heater design has a 95-99% emissivity rating and cancels out EMF to levels that are virtually undetectable.

Why is this good? Because EMFs can affect your health. Conditions that have been linked to EMFs include:

  • Nervous system disorder
  • Depression
  • Aches and pains
  • Infertility
  • Cancer

Bottom Line

If you want to treat pain, get a deeper detox, accelerate weight loss, achieve better metabolism, and have a more youthful appearance and “glow” every day… this the best investment you could make for your health. Learn more about Sunlighten Saunas here.

As always, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor about starting treatments with infrared saunas if you have sensitive skin, a history of heart problems or take medications.
